kimwardvermont I could listen to “If you get lost” on a loop... it understands the pain of loving someone who you can’t help be happy, be it through addiction or other mental illness,...

Waterlanding 05:59
Panasonic radio waterlanding. Tree tops, body bags, little cars. 22A. Safety card in the back of the seat in the back of the plane. Now there’s no one left to blame. The sky is open, your eyes are open. Green sky microphone. Glass of beer. Blue grass plastic headphones on the back of the ear. Through a crack air is leaking. Your eyes are empty. The sky is leaking, the air is empty. Waterlanding wide blue field. Someone should take a bow. Your fall is everybody’s fault: on the ground looking up, taking off, touching down. The sky is open, your eyes are open.

I’m not making enough to get by even though I’m in the show. This has become quite important even though it don’t always show. Dreams in color, color and black and white. Maybe we’ll meet in the airwaves in the dark sky tonight. I’ve been stealing from the soul piggy bank. I may be leaving this living for some normal life.

If you get lost there is no danger. They look for you where they can see and find you where you shouldn’t be. But you never asked to be found, that’s why you’re staying underground. And if you get lost there is no danger. Take the time to see it through. Only you know what you need to do. Sometimes you think nobody really knows you.

Edible 02:21
If you’re trying to meet the nine or if you’re trying to eat in time, I think there’s something you should know: everyone is edible. So wind the dog and wag the tail, eat the serpent that’s for sale. If you’re trying to beat the crime or if you’re trying to eat the time, I think there’s something you should know: everyone is edible. So beat the dog and dine the sale, have the serpent eat its tail. If you’re trying to eat what’s mine or if you’re trying to eat in time, I think there’s something you should know: everyone is edible. So eat the dog and grind the tail, seat the serpent on the whale.

Middlesex 03:28
Living in Middlesex, out by the interstate. My life is a total wreck; how did it get this way? Less than a week ago sleeping on dirty floors with George and his mother because I didn’t have a choice. All hope is gone. Driving the Mercury, looking at autumn leaves, drinking and driving and smoking a batty. Up in the studio, trying to let it roll, with so many secrets, I couldn’t tell a soul. All hope is gone.
6.
Pay attention to me. Please don’t set me aside. Let me decide on my time. I’m aloof because you’re not looking at me. It’s the truth, I’m only trying to get your ear. Maybe it’s time you asked yourself the question: do you take me seriously? I think of you as the one for me. And all the while that you’re here with me, I’m wishing that you would just pay attention to me. You’re not looking at me.
7.
In the end, you know the time is right to be old: everyone likes you and everyone’s scared. “Don’t talk too loud. Don’t move too fast. Don’t wake him up, he’s beautiful whenever he’s like this.” Down the hall, daughters seldom call. Welcome mat and walls, crucifix and schawls. Lord, believe, breathe, and choose the Beatitudes, the King of Jews. Rules may lay you to bed but no one is better off dead. You could come back as dust. You could come back and rust. You could tell us that nothing is worse than waking up in a world God made up.

Bittersweet 04:39
Finding out about whats going on. I’d include myself if I could. In your real time but what about mine? Bittersweet is the flavor of life. Take what you need, don’t take my advice. I’m a refugee of my own device. To live two lives with broken ties. If one should end I’ll die twice. And the lucky men still pay the price.
9.
Overcoat 03:38
Put on your overcoat; it’s a nice night for walking. Don’t mind if I walk slow. Slow is good for talking. But what can you say at the end of the loneliest day? I took my shoes off; I walked in my bare feet. Kids thought that I was fucked up; you can’t explain it across the street. What could I do? I wanted to walk home with you. I think that I’m so cool. You know I’m just a fool, a fool for you. And nobody else will do. I’ll settle for nothing; just a kiss on the cheek, two or three hours in the course of a week.

Electable 04:48
The burning of cars, supposed beacons of democracy. The burning of stars, feet on the ground with folded arms. They’re all the same. Are we too dumb to know? Not seeing straight. They depend on who we are so pay your dues with the masses. Don’t let you get that far, separate us with their classes. The stealing of a face. Ideologues to save the day. The bullet and the blade have come to save the day. The soldiers going down to the rivers edge. The soldiers standing by to release the dead. Electable, void of soul, not seeing straight.

Fainéant 06:55
This privation of things to do stop me from doing any better than I’ve ever done before. I wish I was a motorcycle or aiming rifles at my rivals or preparing for a small arrival. I’d go where I want. We roll down and take it all in stride. We slow down and find a place to hide. Take it easy and take us for a ride. Grab the wheel, we don’t want to drive. We’ll go where you want. Fainéant.
